Trompe L'Oeil, a French expression that means "to trick the eye" is effective in giving a small space a greater sense of depth. Mary Ellen McKee-Curtis chose to create an arched window on this wall finish to serve as both a permanent work of art and as a view to the distant landscape beyond.
